Are You My Mother? - Our Guardian Home Program

Updated: May 9, 2023

You may have heard about Guardian Homes at some point and maybe you know what that sorta thing means. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Maybe you don't. Even if you are familiar with Guardian Homes, you might not know what they mean to US.

Let us fill you in!

At Magnolia Grove, we believe that every dog deserves a loving, forever home. Our dogs are part of our family and live in our home rather than kennels so we know they are getting as much love and attention as possible.

Because we know that family life provides the best quality of life for our dogs, our Guardian Homes are an essential part of our program which benefits everyone involved; the dog, the breeder and the forever family.

Becoming a partner in our Guardian Home Program allows for families within an hour drive of Hickory, NC to have our “Pick of the Litter” puppy as a family pet and at a “discounted” price.

These puppies are hand picked at birth by us, and then approved to live with you as your family dog while we retain breeding rights to the dog. Health testing and fees related to breeding/whelping are our responsibility here at Magnolia Grove while routine vet care, daily care, grooming, feeding, training, and socializing are the responsibility of the Guardian Family. At the end of the breeding career of the dog, the Guardian Home Family will spay/neuter the dog, and ownership of the dog will be permanently transferred to the Guardian Home family. We consider our guardian homes an extension of our Magnolia Grove Family and we view this relationship vital toward the well-being of our dog.

We are selective in who we choose because we want the absolute best for all of our Magnolia Grove pups, so this relationship requires communication and trust. In exchange for treating our puppy as your baby and welcoming the puppy into your home, we do offer financial incentives to make responsibilities and accommodations a little easier to bear. 😁
